Kau Tapen Lodge – Week 11: March 15th to 22nd , 2025

We’ve just wrapped up the eleventh week of fishing here at Kau Tapen, with a wonderful group of international anglers from the United Kingdom and the US. It’s been another week of learning, adapting, and chasing the elusive sea trout on both the Rio Grande and Menendez rivers.

Kau Tapen Lodge – Week 10: March 8th to 15th, 2025

We’ve just wrapped up our 10th week of fishing on both the Río Grande and Menendez rivers, hosting a fantastic group of international anglers from the United Kingdom and the US.

Since the rise two weeks ago, sporadic rainfall has kept the waters of both rivers fresh and active, maintaining good fishing conditions throughout the week. With the color and speed of the water, we turned to bigger flies and sink tips to slow down our presentation and target fish where they were holding. The cooler water temperatures also influenced our tackle choices, requiring more precise techniques
