Join us in paradise paradise: Abaco Lodge is officially open again!

We are thrilled to announce that our beloved Abaco Lodge has officially reopened as of April 1st, 2023. With a sense of excitement, relief, and pride, we welcome guests back to the only bonefish lodge with direct access to the fabled Marls and unpressured bonefish of Abaco. It's been a long journey to get here, and we can't wait to share the experience with you.

You may recall that on September 1st, 2019, Hurricane Dorian made landfall on Abaco, and it destroyed the lodge, docks, and boats, and scattered the buildings and contents. Dorian displaced hundreds on the island, leaving the community and the fishery infrastructure in shambles. At that time we mobilized our resources to support our staff, and just as things begin to stabilize, Covid foiled our efforts, delaying our plans to return the lodge to an operable state.

But now we can finally announce that we have rebuilt the lodge literally from the ground up, and we are open once again! Repeat guests will be delighted to know that many of our original staff will be back at Abaco with us. Crystal Ferguson returns to the household staff, as does Marie Mills, who has been with us since 2008. Her daughter Nola will also be part of the hospitality staff, as will Paul Pinder’s daughter Kajah- along with several new faces. Virtually all of our eagle-eyed guiding staff will return to Abaco with the addition of Jon Brodie, a very experienced bonefish guide. They will all be in our clean, fast, Maverick skiffs, ready to whisk you to some of the best bonefishing imaginable.

The lodge features 7 beautifully designed rooms, each equipped with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom, and has a capacity of up to 12 anglers.

Relax by the pool with a cold beer, or gather around the fire pit at sunset to share your day’s fishing stories and become a part of the island’s lore.

The bright and charming lodge extends a warm welcome to guests, offering spectacular waterfront views from its expansive decks and inviting porches.

Experience exceptional service from our friendly and attentive staff, who will take care of every detail to ensure your fishing adventure is unforgettable!

Abaco Lodge offers unparalleled fly-fishing opportunities as the only operation with direct access to the vast Marls of Abaco.

There’s no better way to spend a day than casting your lines and enjoying a cold Kalik with a friend on the crystal-clear waters of the Marls.

As we usher in a new era at Abaco Lodge, we are most grateful to all of you for being a part of our journey. Here’s to new beginnings and the promise of unforgettable experiences on the tranquil waters of the Marls. We can’t wait to welcome you back to paradise and raise a glass to new adventures. Cheers!

In closing, we also want to express our gratitude to everyone for their patience and continued support. Thanks to our new manager Jake Wood, and to Carolina Coco, who has worked tirelessly to ready the lodge for our opening.

We cannot wait to welcome you all to Abaco Lodge and create memories that will last a lifetime. We look forward to getting back out on the skinny water and making your flats fishing dreams come true!
